The Government of Namibia recognises the vital role of Namibians living abroad in national development. Through the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO), Namibia is developing a National Diaspora Policy to formalise engagement with its diaspora and encourage their participation in nation-building.
Why Register?
Registering with the High Commission offers several important advantages:
- Emergency Assistance: In cases of crime, accident, illness, natural disaster, or civil unrest, registration enables the Mission to locate you, verify your status, and liaise with your next-of-kin.
- Stay Informed: Receive important news, updates, and announcements related to Namibia and diaspora events.

- Consular Support: Access services including passport renewals, emergency travel documents, and document verification.

Registration
Namibian citizens residing in Tanzania and accredited countries are encouraged to register with the High Commission. Registration is voluntary, free of charge, and information is kept confidential for official use only. REGISTER HERE!
Accreditation
The High Commission is concurrently accredited to Kenya and Rwanda, as well as the East African Community (EAC), UN-Habitat and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
