Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is expected to arrive in Tanzania for a two-day visit from tomorrow, May 20 to 21, 2025, following an invitation from President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The visit will be the first for President Nandi-Ndaitwah since she was sworn in as President of Namibia on March 21 this year, and it aims to strengthen relations between the two nations in the political, economic, social, as well as education and investment spheres.

Tanzania and Namibia have enjoyed long-standing cooperation rooted in the history of liberation in Africa, and this visit is expected to open a new chapter of cooperation that will bring economic benefits to the citizens of both sides.

While in the country, President Nandi-Ndaitwah will be received at the State House by her host, President Samia, where the two leaders will hold one-on-one talks before leading official discussions between the two countries, and finally speaking with journalists.

In addition to these talks, President Nandi-Ndaitwah will also visit the African Liberation Heritage Centre as well as the University of Dar es Salaam, where she is expected to pay tribute to Tanzania's contribution to the liberation struggle, alongside promoting educational and cultural cooperation between Namibia and Tanzania.
